Getting started
Sitting down at a mozo-powered table takes one step to get started: scanning the code on the table.
Scanning the QR code
- Open your phone’s camera app (or any QR scanner).
- Point it at the code on the table.
- Tap the notification that appears.
That opens a short landing page for that specific table, right in your phone’s browser — there’s nothing to install and nothing to configure first. From there you can go straight to the menu, or sign up/sign in if you’re ready to order. If you’ve ordered on this phone before, mozo recognizes you and skips this page entirely, taking you straight to your table.
Do you need an account?
To browse, no — tap Just show me the menu and look around freely. To place an order, yes, an account is required. It only takes a minute:
- Tap Create an account.
- Enter your email and choose a password.
- Confirm your email from the link that’s sent — it drops you right back at your table, ready to order.
Your order history and preferences carry over to future visits once you’re signed in.
What’s next
- Browsing the menu walks through how items are organized and what variants are.
- Placing an order covers the cart and submitting.
- If you’re joining a table where someone already ordered, see Sharing a tab.
If something isn’t working
If the code won’t scan or the menu doesn’t load, ask your waiter. It’s usually a lighting issue with the scan or, occasionally, the restaurant hasn’t published its menu yet for that table.
