Printing QR Codes
Printing from Your Browser
The QR codes page is designed for direct printing:
- Go to Tables → QR Codes in the supplier dashboard
- Select the tables you want to print
- Press Ctrl+P (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+P (Mac)
- In the print dialog:
- Set margins to Minimum or None
- Enable Background graphics (important for QR contrast)
- Choose Landscape for more codes per page
Paper Recommendations
| Type | Use | Durability |
|---|---|---|
| Adhesive labels | Stick directly on tables | Weeks (indoor) |
| Laminated paper | Place under glass/plastic | Months |
| Card stock | Temporary / event use | Days |
| Waterproof labels | Outdoor seating | Months |
For daily restaurant use, adhesive vinyl labels or laminated cards are the best balance of cost and durability.
Sizing
QR codes render as SVG — they scale without losing quality. The print layout automatically sizes them for readability. Minimum recommended size: 3 × 3 cm (about 1.2 inches).
If your phone struggles to scan, the QR code might be too small or the lighting too dim. Try a larger print size or better lighting.
Troubleshooting Scanning Issues
QR code won’t scan
- Check the QR code isn’t smudged or torn
- Make sure the table surface isn’t glossy (causes glare)
- Try different lighting angles
- Test with the table’s own QR code URL directly in your browser
Scans but says “not a Mozo QR code”
- Verify the QR code URL contains
q.mozo.bar/s?t= - If the URL looks wrong, re-generate the QR code from the dashboard
Guest can’t see the menu
- Confirm the table has at least one active product
- Check that the restaurant’s menu is published
- Verify the supplier account is active
Bulk Printing
For restaurants with many tables (50+), print in batches:
- Use the table number filter to select a range
- Print that batch
- Repeat for the next range
This prevents browser memory issues with very large pages.
Custom QR Codes
Restaurant owners can customize the text displayed on QR codes. Contact your Mozo representative or see the supplier dashboard settings for customization options (coming soon).
