Going live

Once the basics are in place, going live is just a matter of putting codes on tables and making sure staff know what to expect.

Before you open

  • At least one category with active products in it. See Menu.
  • At least one section with tables added. See Sections & tables.
  • QR codes printed and placed on those tables. See Printing QR codes.
  • Your restaurant marked open on the Dashboard.
  • Every staff member working that day has an employee account. See Employees.

Train your staff on the basics

Before the first real service, walk staff through:

  • Where the Dashboard is and what needs-help and needs-payment flags look like.
  • How to move an order from placed to in process to delivered.
  • How to close out a tab once it’s paid.

None of this takes long, most of it mirrors what staff already do, mozo just moves the ordering step earlier and makes the rest visible on a screen instead of relayed by voice.

After you’re live

  • Keep an eye on your first few tabs closely, it’s the fastest way to catch a menu or category window that isn’t quite right.
  • Add remaining staff and build out your Schedule once the basics are running smoothly.
  • Come back to Settings any time to add destinations, adjust suggested tips, or change your QR code’s appearance.
