Menu

Your menu has a simple, fixed shape:

Restaurant
└── Category (Starters, Mains, Drinks…)
└── Product (a single menu item)
└── Variant (a size, a temperature, an option)

There’s no separate “menu” object above categories, your restaurant’s menu simply is its set of categories. Everything about when and how an item appears to guests is controlled at one of these three levels.

The four things worth understanding

  • Categories group your items and control when they’re visible, by day of week and time of day.
  • Products are the individual items: name, price, description, whether they’re currently available.
  • Variants are options on a product that adjust its price, a size, a temperature, a side.
  • Destinations route a product’s orders to a specific station, kitchen, bar, wherever you’ve set up.

Editing your menu

All menu editing happens from the Menu screen in your dashboard, available to managers. It includes filters (search by name or code, hide inactive items) and a live preview that shows what your menu would look like to a guest at a given day and time, useful for checking a category’s availability window without waiting for it to actually be that time.

Live updates

Menu changes take effect immediately, guests already browsing see updates without needing to refresh, and the change is visible to every device signed into your restaurant at once.
